Crab Island is only accessible by boat—there’s no safe way to walk, swim, or paddleboard to it due to strong tides and heavy boat traffic. The safest and most popular option is renting a pontoon boat. We recommend a double-decker pontoon for the ultimate experience with slides, upper-deck views, and shaded lounging below.

3. What can I do while I’m at Crab Island?

Most importantly, remember that boating under the influence is illegal—just like driving a car. Law enforcement patrols the area regularly.

There are no permanent structures or restrooms on Crab Island. However, there are lots of local restaurants nearby with public docks and restrooms in case of an emergency. Plan ahead for comfort, especially if you're bringing kids or staying out for several hours.
